We support the City of LA's goal to decrease euthanasia
and raise adoption rates!

The Los Angeles Animal Services centers provide shelter and the humane care of many sick, injured, stray and unwanted animals.

The euthanasia rates in the City of Los Angeles have decreased from 42,800 in 2001 to 37,640 in 2002. However, we still have a long way to go before we make Los Angeles a no kill city.

ASAP is committed to saving the lives of animals.

Our goal is to provide the City of Los Angeles the assistance they need so that the animals that end up at the shelters are quickly found new homes.

How can a totally innocent being end up on death row and be killed by lethal injection in a matter of days?

If you are one of the thousands of cats or dogs that end up in a shelter the odds are that's exactly what's in your future.

Approximately one thousand loving animals are killed by lethal injection in our shelters every week. This is due to the overwhelming numbers of cats and dogs that end up in the shelters.

It is not fair and we need to put an end to it.

ASAP Programs

ASAP's fundraising activities, events, membership programs and volunteer opportunities are designed to generate and provide the resources needed to save the lives of these animals.

Next Event coming soon:

ASAP is a 501(c)(3) corporation and is not funded by federal, state or local funds. All donations are tax deductible and are spent to reduce euthanasia rates in shelters.

When individual owners act irresponsibly and abandon their pets, we as a society have an obligation to step in and help those animals. Quietly putting them to sleep (i.e. killing them) should not be the solution.

Volunteers make a big difference in saving the lives of innocent animals.
