Some of the wonderful cats and dogs that end up in the shelters
are in need a little extra love and care.

They may have ongoing medical needs such as diabetes, arthritis or leukemia. Or, they may have suffered the loss of an eye or a limb. Sadly such “special” pets are much harder to place and are often euthanized at the shelter without even being put up for adoption to make room for more adoptable pets.
